Magazine

Scope: Local, Consumer

Language/Country: English

Silhouette College media Magazine is a biannual arts-oriented publication for undergraduate and graduate students at Virginia Institute of Technology. This project has two fundamental objectives, on the one hand, to have a platform to show the creative work of the students who have decided to be part of this project, and secondly to inspire the readers of the publication with the actions made by the artists in training.Within their website, they have a blog where they keep their readers updated on all the news of the art world and their recent works, works or peculiar analyses within the classes of the students who are part of the magazine. Visits and interviews with prominent personalities of the art world, as well as outstanding news, happened throughout the university campus beyond the school of arts. They also have an archive section that automatically redirects to a selection where some of their publications are entirely free in digital format, thus being a way to reach even more art lovers and critics. They also have direct links to blogs, art galleries and their social networks where you can have more direct contact with your readers where they can clarify all their doubts. The workers of Silhouette College media Magazine are in constant search of artistic talents within the students of the Technological Institute of Virginia, and they have to their disposition a section to be able to send the creative works of the students. They explain that they accept all types of artistic manifestations such as paintings, drawings, photographs, illustrations, fictitious and non-fictitious poems, among others. They also specify the accepted formats to apply and be considered for their next publications, emphasizing the importance of the writing within their portfolio and curricular summary.
